Mark your calendars - Ignite Waterloo 4 is a go!

It’s a new season, with lots of new faces among the organizers, and a brand new venue as well. We’re pretty jazzed about all the amazing things to come.

Ignite Waterloo 4 will be taking place on Thursday, November 18th at the Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts, 36 King St. W. in downtown Kitchener. That’s right next door to The Museum, where the previous three Ignite events have been held. (Map)

It’s a fantastic space, and will give us plenty of flexibility both for the presentations and for socializing. Plus we’ll be able to expand attendance, too. Ticket information will be coming soon, so check back here often.

To help us cover the costs of the venue, drinks, prizes, etc., tickets will be $5 each for this event.

Are you interested in presenting at Ignite Waterloo 4? Awesome! Head on over to our Be a Speaker page to get all the details and apply.

The speakers committee is gearing up to select and work with the latest group of fun, funny, and passionate presenters. No previous public speaking experience necessary. You just need to have something you’re passionate about and the commitment to teach the audience about it in five, fast-faced minutes.

Audience — prepare to be informed, inspired, and educated! (And probably see a little Alec Baldwin as well…) We’ll also be announcing the speaker workshop details soon for those interested in speaking.

The speaker workshop was an experiment for last Ignite, and it really helped both with selecting and preparing speakers, so we’ve added it as a regular part of the schedule.

Are you interested in getting involved with the Region’s thriving geek culture and getting your brand out there? Become an Ignite Waterloo sponsor! Sponsorship opportunities are limited, but we’d love to chat with you about getting involved.

We’ll be announcing more information soon, so mark your calendars and get ready for another great Ignite Waterloo event!
